In this article,after a simple retrospect of the stages in the researches of timber demand prediction in abroad, the basic theories and methods in this field in China were summarized and commented,including the concepts of timber demand, the factors affecting the timber demand,the elasticity and substitute of timber demand.
该文首先对近年来国内外木材需求预测研究作了简单回顾，提出了８个值得注意的问题，然后从木材需求研究的基本理论和基本方法方面对我国木材需求的研究进行了分析和总结，探讨了木材需求概念的界定，影响木材需求的因素以及木材需求的弹性和替代性，并且介绍和评价了我国木材需求预测研究中曾经出现过的７种模型。
