七·一冰川
七·一冰川海拔4300米，冰川面积约5平方公里，平均厚度70米，最厚处达120米，是我国典型的大陆性冰川，也是亚洲离城市最近的冰川--距嘉峪关市区120公里。它是中国科学院兰州分院的科技工作者和原苏联冰川学专家于1958年7月1日在嘉峪关市肃南裕固族自治县境内的祁连山中的，并以发现的日期命名为"七一"冰川。
七·一冰川是一处令人神往的旅游胜地。这座巨大的冰川横卧在高山怀抱之中，辉映在丽日蓝天之下，洁白晶莹、光芒辉眼，象一帧巨画，美不胜收。
