By analysis of food composition, 6 species of eels in East China Sea and Yellow Sea are bottom fishes and belong to 3 types of food habit: Dysomma anguillaris,Rhynchocymba ectenura and Rhynchocymba nystromi are benthophagous fishes; Astroconger myriaste and Pisoodonophis cancrivorus are benthophagous-nektivorous fishes; Alloconger anagoides is nektivorous fish.
通过对其食物组成的分析,发现这6种鳗的生态属性均为底层鱼类且分属3种食性类型:前肛鳗、黑尾吻鳗和银色突吻鳗属底栖生物食性;星康吉鳗和食蟹豆齿鳗属底栖生物和游泳动物食性;奇鳗属游泳动物食性。
