The natural gas exploration has long not real breakthrough in Jiyang Depression,although it is one of the rich oil depressions in Bahai Bay Basin,and the discovered gas pools mainly distribute in the shallow-middle layers.
济阳坳陷是渤海湾盆地内的一个富油凹陷,针对该区天然气勘探长期以来一直没有取得实质性的进展、目前所发现的天然气主要集中在中浅层的现状,将济阳坳陷天然气成藏的地质条件与东濮凹陷进行了比较,认为济阳坳陷具备形成大规模天然气藏的条件,其天然气勘探最具潜力的领域应是煤成气藏及深洼陷周围的深层天然气藏;指明了东营凹陷盐下构造、渤南等深洼陷的深层周边区带、环黄河口凹陷的滩海深层、潍北凹陷和青东凹陷4个深层勘探方向,阐述了煤成气今后的勘探、研究方向。
