敦煌石窟北朝塑像 所塑主像一般是释迦牟尼或弥勒，主像两侧多有二夹侍菩萨像，此外还有释迦多宝并坐像、菩萨像和禅僧像等。北周时期，佛的两侧出现二弟子像，成为一佛、二弟子、二菩萨一铺的组合。塑像背部多与壁面相连，个别较小的符萨像是头部模制后接在躯干上。有的中心柱和四壁上部，贴有影塑千佛、供养菩萨和飞天等像。
