为玄参科植物齿叶泥花草的全草。
【植物形态】
齿叶泥花草 一年生披散草本，高10～20厘米。茎分枝，下部常伏地，有细条纹。叶对生，矩圆形至矩圆状椭圆形，长1.5～3.5厘米，宽0.5～1厘米，先端钝或短尖，边缘有密而锐利的锯齿，两面绿色无毛；无柄。总状花序顶生，长3～6厘米：花对生，具短柄，有苞片；萼片5，绿色；花冠紫红色或白色。蒴果小，线状圆柱形，长约1厘米。花期夏秋。 生于水沟边、稻田、路旁阴湿处。分布广西、广东等地。
【采集】
夏、秋采收。
【性味】
味淡，性平。
【功用主治】
清热解毒，逐瘀破血，消肿止痛。治毒蛇咬伤，跌打肿痛，疮疖肿毒，产后腹痛。
【选方】
①治毒蛇咬伤，跌打肿痛：鲜齿叶泥花草三至四两。捣烂绞汁冲酒服，渣敷伤处。 ②治疮疖肿毒：鲜齿叶泥花草适量。加食盐少许，捣烂敷患处。 ③治产后腹痛：鲜齿叶泥花草一至二两，同鸡肉二两煎汤服。
