The present tectonic stress field in the head area of the Three Gorges reservoir was systematically analyzed and verified in the geological,seismological,deformation and in situ stress contexts and checked by numerical modeling.
本文从地质、地震、形变、地应力测量等方面对三峡库首区现今构造应力场进行了系统的分析和论证,并用数值模拟进行了验证,认为三峡库首区现今构造应力场属于纯剪切变形体制,即:在来自西部NE—SW方向主压应力挤压的基础上,同时叠加有因江汉—洞庭盆地拉张而引起的NWW—SEE向主张应力的作用,这两种力源近于直交,可以分别作为研究区现今构造应力场的主压应力(1σ)和主张应力(σ3)。

地质构造运动是指主要由地球内部能量引起的地壳或岩石圈物质的机械运动。
它使岩石发生变形的主要类型是褶皱和断裂，使岩石发生变位的方式有水平运动和升降运动。
构造运动的形式主要有水平和升降运动，也即传统的造山运动和造陆运动。
现代构造运动既有缓慢进行的，也有剧烈进行的；既有水平运动，也有升降运动；
古代构造运动的推断：主要是通过沉积场所的特征、构造变形和地层接触关系等地质遗迹来进行。
构造运动的起源主要有地球收缩说、膨胀说、脉动说等等。现在一般认为是由于地幔对流引起的岩石圈板块运动所导致。研究构造运动具有重要意义。
