Investigations were carried out on the vocal behavior of the Elliot′s laughing thrush ( Garrulax elliotii ) from March to May,1995,at Fo Ping Nature Reserve,Shanxi Province(above sea leval 1 100～1 350m).
１９９５年３～５月，在陕西省佛坪国家自然自保护区，海拔１１００～１３５０ｍ处，进行噪鹛属橙翅噪鹛（Ｇａｒｒｕｌａｘｅｌｉｏｔｉ）声行为的考察。

习性：华南和西南热带山区常见留鸟。小群活动，喜在次生林、竹丛、灌丛中出没。鸣叫声响亮清晰，圆润悦耳，其声似“滴卟-，滴卟-”。黑喉噪鹛因叫声响亮动听，俗称“山呼鸟”，常被作为观赏鸟饲养。

分布：云南中部和南部。中国华南和西南地区。
