Olbers paradox

   1826年,德国天文学家H.W.M.奥伯斯指出,一个静止、均匀、无限的宇宙模型会导致如下结论黑夜与白天一样亮。但实际上夜空却是黑的。理论同观测的这种矛盾称为奥伯斯佯谬。采用天体之间有吸光物质、天体寿命有限或天体有演化、引力常数随距离而变化等都难以解决奥伯斯佯谬。在现代的膨胀宇宙模型里,奥伯斯佯谬不存在。
