| 代数基本定理 algebra，fundamental theorem of 复系数n（＞0）次多项式（方程）在复数域中至少有一个根（解）。由此推出，复系数n（＞0）次多项式在复数域内恰有n个根（k重根按k个计）。自 16 世纪发现了三、四次代数方程解的公式后，数学家们开始寻找五次或五次以上代数方程解的公式，但进展不大，因而怀疑高次方程是否一定有解。J.le R.达朗贝尔、L.欧拉最早给出了这一定理的证明，但不完全。1799年C.F.高斯在他的博士论文中给出了这一定理的第一个实质性证明，他的论证方法开创了数学中证明存在性的新途径。高斯共给出了四个证法。这一定理的证明在当时巩固了复数的地位。这一定理的证法不下几十个，但都或多或少用到分析知识，最简单证法利用复变函数。 |
