The different effects of anomalous convective activities in the tropical western Pacific on two persistent heavy rain events in South China in 2005 and 2006 are compared in this study.

The analysis of persistent heavy rain in South China is performed using the daily precipitation data of 45 stations in South China and the NCEP/NCAR reanalysis daily data from 1958 to 2004.
利用1958—2004年NCEP/NCAR全球逐日再分析格点资料和同期我国华南地区45站的逐日降水资料,从水汽条件、不稳定能量及抬升条件对发生在华南地区的157个连续性暴雨进行分析,并结合各自的爆发时间,对暴雨进行分类,讨论了不同类型华南持续性暴雨的形成原因。
