距今1.9亿年前后的印支期,太平洋板块在库拉、法拉隆和特提斯三联点处开始形成[2,3]。以后不断增生扩张,至早白垩世演化为库拉、法拉隆、太平洋和菲尼克斯四大板块。由于库拉—太平洋扩张脊的s—n向增生扩张和太平洋板块南部没有俯冲消减带,便推动库拉板块—太平洋扩张脊以两倍的速度沿横切该扩张脊的s—n向转换断层向nnw快速运动,推挤亚洲板块东北缘并向西潜没于亚洲大陆之下。因此造就了太平洋相对向北、亚洲大陆相对向南的左行直扭应力场,形成了东亚大陆边缘北起苏联远东锡霍特阿林—西南日本—我国东南沿海及台湾—菲律宾的钙碱性安山岩、花岗岩带并与中生界沉积岩、前中生界变质岩一起构成规模宏伟的安第斯式弧形山系。该山系东侧北起西南日本中生代双变质带—济州岛—黄海与东海交界处—东南(浙闽粤)沿海40米等深线处为库拉板块与亚洲板块东缘的转换—敛合边界,其西侧为一系列ne,nne向的褶皱系、左行剪切—挤压断裂体系和山弧后沉积盆地
