20世纪60年代发展起来的一种成象技术。它的原理和全息照相相同，即利用波的干涉原理记录物波的振幅和相位，并利用衍射原理再现物体的象。它的不同之处是用超声波代替光波。声全息术的成象分辨率高。用于无损检验，可显示试件内部缺陷的形状和大小。
