    形态特征:葫芦科栝楼属多年生藤本植物。块根肥大。茎草质,攀援状;卷须常分2叉。叶互生,叶片常5-7深裂,裂片披针形或宽披针形,近全缘,罕具小裂片,中间裂片长5-13厘米,宽1-2厘米;叶柄长1.5-5厘米。6月开花,雌雄异株,雄花几朵生于总花梗上呈总状,有时单生;花冠白色,边缘流苏状;雌花单生。果实球形,直径约7厘米。
    生境分布:生于海拔700-1100米的林缘、路边。分布于四川、湖北、陕西。
    用途:块根药用,具清热解毒、活血散瘀之功效。
