皖南国家野生动物救护中心位于休宁县城凤凰山公园南侧。
该救护中心是1995年经原林业部批准立项的，安徽省仅此一处。项目于1996年开工，1998年4月竣工。总投资427万元。中心占地15公顷，内设科研管理区、笼养管理区、圈养管理区、种群繁殖区和宣教培训基地。
现已收养野生动物30多种100多头(只)，其中国家一级保护动物有云豹、黑麂、梅花鹿、蜂猴、扬子鳄、丹顶鹤、白颈长尾雉、白鹳；国家二级保护动物有小天鹅、孔雀、豺、猕猴、短尾猴、黑熊等。同时对梅花鹿、黄麂、苏门羚、鸵鸟等动物进行驯养开发利用。
此外，还建成了具有100对种鸽和2000只美国七彩山鸡的大规模养殖场。
该救护中心的建立，为黄山旅游增添了一道亮丽的风景线。
