The pollen grains of 8 species and 4 varieties of Calamus,1 species of Plectocomia,1 species of Daemonorops,and 2 species of Salacca(Palmae)were examined by light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy.

【来源】
为茜草科植物大叶钩藤的带钩茎枝。
【植物形态】
大叶钩藤 攀援状大藤本，高12～15米。小枝压扁，有褐色疏粗毛，每一节上有双钩，钩幼时亦有疏粗毛。叶革质，宽椭圆形或长椭圆形，长10～16厘米，宽6～12厘米，先端锐尖，基部。圆形或心形，上面近光滑，下面有褐黄色粗毛；托叶2裂。头状花序圆球形，单生叶腋，开花时径4～4.5厘米，花序柄长3.5～6.5厘米，有褐黄色粗毛；花淡黄色，长约1.6厘米，萼管长，5裂；花冠管状漏斗形，5裂。裂片覆瓦状排列；雄蕊5；子房下位，纺锤形，2室。蒴果有长柄，纺锤形，长1～1.5厦米，有粗毛。花期夏季。 生于灌木林或杂木林中。分布云南、广西、广东等地。 本植物的根(大叶钩藤根)亦供药用，另详专条。

秋、冬季采集，切段，晒干.
【化学成分】
含钩藤碱。
【性味】
《云南中草药选》："甘苦，凉。"
【功用主治】
《云南中草药选》："清热平肝，熄风镇惊。治抽搐，高血压，神经性头痛，骨髓炎。"
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，2～5钱(不宜久煎)。
