| 草苔虫属 Bugula 唇口目双胞苔虫科的一属。种数较多。群体呈树丛状。大多数为双列分枝。个虫背面始端分叉显著。每一个虫末端重叠在后续个虫的始端上。鸟头体具柄。卵胞球形，一般固着在个虫顶端，老成群体始端分枝常断损丢失，用以附着的下行附根形似“细柄”。草苔虫生活在潮间带岩礁地区和沿岸浅海，除两极地区外，几乎遍及世界各地浅海水域，但以热带、亚热带水域数量最多，是主要的污损苔虫之一，在中国从山东半岛北岸直至海南岛榆林港及南海诸岛均有分布。 |
