Based on the analyscs of some remarkable differences of the vertical distribution of climatic elements, and according to the indexes of heat and moisture and vertical distribution of vegetation and soil, the middle part of northern slope of Tianshan Mountains can be divided into four vertical climatic zones.
在分析天山北坡中段气候要素垂直分布显著差异基础上，采用热量和水分指标，并参照植被和土壤的垂直分布差异，将天山北坡中段划分出（1）前山冲积扇、冲积平原温带，（2）中低山寒温带，（3）亚高山－高山寒带，（4）高山冰雪带等四个垂直气候带，为认识本地区山地气候资源，充分开发与利用山地气候资源潜力，提供了必要的参考依据。

ehuizhi qihoudai垂直气候带(verti eal elimatie zones)高山地区，从山麓至山顶随海拔高度变化，在不同高度上由气温、降水及植被特征等综合表现的气候带状分布。这是一切高山地区所共有的特征〔。但是，某一高山地区究竟具有哪几种气候带的特征，则取决于该高山所在之地理纬度及其海拔高度。高纬度地区的高山，由于其山麓气候本身即已相当寒冷，致使其气候垂直分带的带数较少，变化比较简单;地理纬度低、海拔高度高的山系，其气候垂直分带的带数较多，变化多样而明显。以珠穆朗玛峰南坡波曲谷地的樟木一聂拉木地区为例，其气候垂直分带为:山地亚热带(1600一2500米)、山地暖温带(2500一3100米)、山地寒温带(3100一3900米)、亚高山寒带(3900一4700米)、高山寒冻带(4700一5500米)和高tIJ冰雪带(5500米以卜派(柳又春)
