【性味】
《陕西中草药》："淡，平。"
【功用主治】
祛风，解毒，散瘀，止血。治感冒，筋骨疼痛，痈疮肿毒，跌打创伤。 ①《分类草药性》："敷肿毒。" ②《福建民间草药》："预防感冒、中暑，取叶晒干，冲开水代茶饮。" ③《陕西中草药》："清热解毒，消肿止痛，收敛止血，祛风。治疮疖痈毒，筋骨疼痛，跌打损伤。"
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，3～5钱。外用：捣敷或研末调敷。
【选方】
①治外伤出血：山胡椒叶适量，研末，麻油调敷。(《江西草药》) ②治感冒头痛发热：山胡椒嫩枝桠一两，白马骨八钱。水煎服。(江西《草药手册》) ③治恶疮肿毒：山胡椒叶、芙蓉花叶、马甲子叶。共捣烂，外敷。(江西《草药手册》)
【临床应用】
治疗各种炎症疾病，如急慢性扁桃体炎、淋巴结炎、咽炎、气管炎等 取干山胡椒叶2斤，用蒸馏法制成注射液，每支5毫升(含生药5克)，每次1支肌注，每日2～3次。治疗279例，治愈183例，好转51例，有效率为83.9%。用药过程中未发现副作用，注射局部不痛。
