The recent generic classification concerning the genus Malaisius Arrow,1941 is introduced,with all the Chinese species described before 1998 transferred into the genus Dedalopterus Sabatinelli & Pontuale 1998.
Malaisius的中文名仍为正鳃金龟属,而包含原先所有中国产种类的Dedalopterus Sabatinelli & Pontuale1998年被命名为雅鳃金龟属。

| 大栗鳃金龟 Melolontha hippocastani mongolica 鳃金龟科昆虫的一种。又称大栗金龟子。体长 25.7 ～31.5毫米，体阔11.8～15.3毫米。大型甲虫。雄体狭长，雌体较短阔。体色黑、黑褐或深褐，常有墨绿色金属光泽。鞘翅、触角及各足跗节以下棕色或褐色，鞘翅边缘黑色。该种是川西主要地下害虫。成虫严重为害云杉、杉树和桦、杨等树木，幼虫严重为害大田作物（如青稞、小麦、豌豆、马铃薯、玉米、甜菜等）和苗圃中的苗木，常导致毁种重播或颗粒无收。生活史很长，需 5～6年完成一代。幼虫越冬5次，成虫越冬1次，越冬成虫于5月下旬开始出土交配产卵，雌虫能多次交尾，多次产卵。 |
