性质:又称作物生物学产量或作物产量理论上限。在作物群体结构、长势、农业措施及环境条件均处于最佳状态时,由作物光合效率所决定的单位面积的最高产量。光合生产潜力受许多因素的影响;光合有效辐射,作物群体截获太阳光能的量,光饱和限制、呼吸作用消耗的能量等。不同地区光合生产潜力不同,但总的说来,低纬度地区比中、高纬度地区光合生产潜力要高。光合生产潜力的研究不仅可得知植物生产潜力的限度与地域分布,还可找出影响作物生长发育和最终产量的限制性因素,以便采取相应措施。
