性质:指透明高聚物处于受应力状态时的一种光学双折射现象。大体有两大类情况:(1)当外力移去,双折射现象即消失,称暂时双折射;(2)当加热到玻璃化温度以上再施加负荷,在负荷保持不变的情况下慢慢冷却至室温,再移去负荷。这时,高温时作用的应力被冻结,使材料具有永久的双折射现象。用偏光显微镜补偿器可以准确测定应变双折射。常用来测定制品经退火处理后的内应力改善状况。
