The purpose of this dissertation is not to give an all-round study of the Reformation thoughts, but to exposit the different religious thoughts of the two great men in the 16~(th) century, Desiderius Erasmus and Martin Luther, in the background of the religious thoughts in the Later Medieval Age.

芬兰作家。原名为赫伊基·卡乌皮宁，生于伊萨尔米。自幼在名作家尤哈尼·阿霍的父亲家当雇工，经自学当了乡村教师。他的作品深受阿霍的影响，以现实主义手法，反映家乡生活和风土人情；善于刻划女人的心理状态,语言风趣幽默,人物个性突出，有人民作家之称。主要作品有：小说《维雅》（1889）、《拉拉》(1893)、《开拓者》(1904)、《萨沃的演奏家》(1915)，短篇小说《尤奴卡》等。
