With regard to stability against deep level sliding of gravity dam,by using nonlinear finite element method and rigid body-spring element method,integrating Xiangjiaba hydro-power project,failure criterion,selection of constitutive relation,calculating methods of safety factor and conformation of gravity dam have been researched.

So a kind of depth location technique based on energy center matching is proposed and precision analysis is carried out to verify that the algorithm provided in the paper .
