返还财产是民事责任的的一种。当经济合同被人民法院和仲裁机构确认无效后，对造成合同无效负有责任的一方，应返还因此而从对方取得的财产，如果造成合同无效是由于双方的过错所致，则双方相互返还。返还财产一般不能以赔偿及其他方式代替，只有在原物已经毁损灭失的情况下，才能采用赔偿的方式。
