笔墨 中国画技法和理论上的术语，有时亦作中国画技法的代词。技法上，笔指钩、勒、皴、点等笔法，墨指破、积、泼、渍、烘、染等墨法；墨的运用又分浓、淡、干、湿等。《历代名记》：“骨气形似本于立意，而归乎用笔。”“运墨而五色具，是为得意”。指出立意和笔墨的主从关系。《山水纯全集》：“笔以立其形质，墨以分其阴阳”。强调笔的主导作用，但应与墨有机结合，相互映发，才能完美地表现物象，表达意境，取得“以形写神”、“形神兼备”的艺术效果。
