| 克孜尔石窟 佛教著名石窟。又称克孜尔千佛洞、赫色尔石窟。位于中国新疆维吾尔自治区拜城县克孜尔镇东南10千米处，木扎特河河谷北岸的悬崖上。开凿年代约在南北朝至晚唐时，一说始于东汉。为天山南麓规模最大的佛教石窟群，共有236窟，窟中塑像大部被毁，仅81窟尚保留部分精美壁画。石窟建筑、壁画和塑像的艺术风格带有明显的民族特点。技法早期受巴米羊石窟艺术的影响 ，晚期吸收了敦煌艺术的成分，其凹凸画法驰名中外。题材内容属小乘佛教艺术，崇拜释迦牟尼和弥勒，晚期受大乘佛教艺术的影响，出现了千佛、一佛二菩萨等题材。以佛本生故事为主，另有大量反映当时生产 、生活和民间习俗的壁画 。故既是佛教艺术的宝贵遗产，又是研究新疆历史文化的重要资料。1961年中国国务院公布为全国重点文物保护单位。
