中国钢琴家
1919年12月17日生于福建同安县,1982年2月19日逝世于上海。自幼从师学习钢琴,在小学读书时，即登台演奏。1938年入福建协和大学生物系，同时继续学习钢琴。1942年毕业，留校任钢琴助教。翌年受聘为国立福建音乐专科学校钢琴系讲师；1945年任副教授。其间,曾在江西、福建的一些城市演出。1948年1月赴美国,就学于内布拉斯加州道安大学音乐系,次年获文学士学位。旋即转入该州州立大学音乐研究院深造，师从F.曼海米尔教授。1950年获钢琴硕士学位，并得全美荣誉奖及金钥匙一枚。此后，他毅然谢绝美国威斯利安大学音乐系的重金聘请，返回祖国。1950年9月起,历任南京金陵女子大学音乐系教授兼系主任和南京中央大学音乐系教授，并先后在南京、北京、天津、上海等地巡回演出。1952年任上海音乐学院钢琴系教授；1955年起任副系主任。李嘉禄的钢琴演奏热情细腻，善于以不同的色彩变化和力度对比刻划音乐形象,布局严谨而不流于平淡,达到了逻辑性和激情的较好结合。他从事钢琴教学达40年，以治学严谨、耐心细致、循循善诱著称。他注意调动学生的学习信心和能动性，要求学生在理解力、情感表达和技巧三方面得到全面均衡的发展。他的教学选材丰富，曲目多样，并博采众长，立意求新。在训练学生的演奏技术时，特别重视指触变化和色彩性，要求做到音色丰富，层次清晰，虚实相间，错落有致。数十年来，他培养出大批钢琴演奏、教学人才，其中包括著名女钢琴家。
