补充资料:优质教育基金

优质教育基金(1998年1月2日—),是香港一个为推动教育改革而成立的基金,由前特首董建华在1997年10月于他的首份施政报告中倡议成立,用以资助各项有助香港优质教育的计划。

基金成立之时,获得政府拨款50亿港元。资助对象主要是对基础教育(包括学前教育、特殊教育及一般中、小学的教育)具成效的计划,但亦有大专院校申请,用以资助有助推动基础教育发展的研究计划。计划最初开展时,会全数拨给成功申请者,但现时已改为配对基金,根据申请者所筹得的款项来批出等额的拨款。

另外,所有成功获得优教育基金拨款的申请,都要在计划完成后提交检讨报告。报告会放在基金的网上资源中心供人浏览,一方面有助公众人士监察基金的运用,亦有助其他申请人作参考之用。
