布朗族有“不吃烤肉，不算尝过肉香”的说法。所以烤食的东西多有烤山鼠肉、斑鸠肉、鱼、猪肉、牛肉；另外，还有卵石鲜鱼汤、螃蟹松、螃蟹肉剁生、油炸花蜘蛛、蝉酱、包烧鲜鱼、酸味菜（酸肉、酸鱼、酸笋）等。
除以上所介绍的外，瑶族、基诺族及其它民族也有相似的烹调方法，但民族不同，煮法、炒法、烤法也就不同，风味各异。
