Late 1970s and 1980s are the initial and pioneering stages of the Russian history study,which are firstly characterized by meeting the needs of times and summing up experience and lessons of Soviet Union\'s revolution and construction as the focus of studies,and secondly by re-examining and evaluating a series of important events and essential issues over the history of Soviet Union.
