刚果诗人。原名杰拉尔-费利克斯·契卡雅。生于姆皮利。15岁时去法国上学。做过农场的雇工、看门人、搬运工等。早期诗集有《坏种》(1955)、《林火》(1957)和《昧心》(1960)。他的诗明显受马提尼克诗人艾梅·塞泽尔的影响，具有超现实主义的特征。比属刚果独立后，乌·塔姆西担任《刚果日报》的领导工作，成为卢蒙巴的战友。刚果的事件给他留下难以磨灭的印象，他的悲愤、反抗的情绪在诗集《历史概要》(1962)中流露出来。这部诗集获1966年世界黑人艺术节诗歌大奖，桑戈尔认为他保持着"真正黑人诗歌的美德"。其他诗集有《肚子》(1964)、《音乐之门》(1970)等。
