两类错误(error of two types)在假设检验时，当假设H。实际上是对的，但由于我们仅根据样本的信息作出判断，仍有可能拒绝H。，这就犯了“弃真”错误，这种错误称之为第一类错误;当H。实际上不真时，我们也有可能接受H。，这是一种“存伪”错误，这种错误称之为第二类错误。在样本容量确定后，犯两类错误的概率不可能同时减少，减少其中一个，另一个往往就会增大。要它们同时减少，只有增加样本的容量。 (任旭明撰金志成审)
