The dissertation studies human resource management duties of mid-level managers and the corresponding competencies, on the background of some selected businesses of Guangdong Province.

Based on an analysis of some issues of integrated evaluation of human resources management(HRM),this author brings up an integrated HRM evaluation model of HRM structure and HRM functions,and studies the framework,methodology and procedure of the model,which provides a way to examine the HRM efficiency and improve and enhance the evaluation.

By reviewing the major accomplishments of the measurement model of human resource management effectiveness in China,this paper defines its research process as three stages: "transplant" and "introduction" from outside to inside,"arousing" and "focus" from extensive to intensive,systematic "integration" and "innovation".
