【八门两益】
 (名数)因明入正理论一部所明也。八门者何?一曰能立,因喻满足,圆成宗义,生他之正智者也。二曰能破,检出他过失之量,我能斥其非(名之曰显过破),或立量而破之(名之曰立量破)者也。三曰似能立,宗因喻之三支互有缺,或三支完全,而所陈有过(三十三过是也),堕于自负者也。四曰似能破,他量圆满,妄为弹诘,或立量而破之者也。五曰现量,例如眼识之于色,耳识之于声,定心之于诸境,能缘之心符于境之自体者也。六曰比量,例如见烟而知火,以极成之因喻而比知未许之宗义者也。七曰似现量,如目见玄黄,谓为见瓶,能缘之心妄为计度,与境之自相不符者也。八曰似比量,妄兴因喻,过成邪宗者也。此八门中,能立能破,皆有立者自发言,开悟他敌者及证义者之益。似能立,似能破,虽不使他敌者开悟,而有使证义者生解之益,故皆以之为悟他之益。其次真似之现量比量,均为发言立量,就立者之自智而分别者,智能自悟而不能悟他。故以之为自悟之益。然则前四门,为关于言语之上者,后四门为关于自智之上者。则当先自悟而后悟他。盖以不自证,即不能使他悟也。然因明之法。原在利他。故悟他为先而自悟在后。因明入正理论开益颂曰:“能立与能破,及似唯悟他,现量与比量,及似唯自悟。”
