| 牙行 中国古代和近代市场中为买卖双方介绍交易、评定商品质量、价格的居间行商。汉代称驵、驵侩，唐、五代称牙、牙郎、牙侩，宋、元、明又有引领百姓、经纪、行老等称呼。牙行一词始见于明代。以经营牲畜、农产品和丝绸布匹等手工业品为主；也有居间包揽水运雇船的，称埠头。明代以前的牙多属个体经营，活动方式是在各居商停客的店和堆放货物的邸之间往来说合。牙行有铺面、堆栈、客房等设备，并雇用看货、帮手、帐房、庄客等。 明初，始有邸、店牙合一的牙行。牙行必须持有官府发给的牙贴，有官牙、私牙之分。 自清代始，牙行的职能又发展到自营买卖，代客垫款、收帐，代办运输、起卸、报关，对农民和手工业者进行预买、贷款。牙行的收入除佣金外还有商业利润、贷款利息、服务报酬等，不过这类牙行是少数。 牙行的作用是双重的。在中国封建社会，农民和手工业者生产的商品零星分散，他们又不熟悉行情，赖牙行居间中介，进入流通，这是牙行的积极作用。但牙行因此操纵价格、垄断行市，以至把持地方市场，坑蒙拐骗，对商品流通又有消极作用。所以随着商品经济的发展，商人有冲破牙行把持的倾向。直到中华人民共和国建立后才全部被淘汰。 |
