| 司徒美堂（1868～1955） 中国社会活动家，爱国华侨领袖。原名羡意，字基赞。广东开平人。1880年赴美国圣弗朗西斯科（旧金山）。1883年加入洪门致公堂，曾追随孙中山进行革命，后在美国负责致公堂、安良堂等侨胞团体。1937年后，发动美洲华侨捐款支援祖国抗战。1945年被选为美洲洪门致公堂主席。1948年，又发动美国华侨支援祖国解放战争。1949年8月回国，历任中央人民政府委员、第一届全国人民代表大会常务委员会委员，第一、二届中国人民政治协商会议全国委员会委员、华侨事务委员会委员等职。1955年5月8日在北京病逝。 |
