卵子
即卵细胞，即成熟的卵细胞，确切地讲在经过第2次减数分裂，排出第2级体后所形成的细胞，方可正确地称为卵子。由于第2次减数分裂只在受精后才完成，因此卵子的存在仅是理论上的。通常人们把成熟卵泡破裂后的卵细胞，无论受精与否统称卵子，甚至将卵巢中尚未排出的也称卵子，理论上是错误的，但为了表达上的需要，冠以各种词头，如受精卵，未受精卵，输卵管中的卵等，这样能更清楚地说明某种意义的卵而不致混淆。
