补充资料：《达朗贝尔和狄德罗的谈话》
18世纪法国唯物主义哲学家D.狄德罗于1769年写成1830年发表的一篇对话体的哲学文章。中译本由王太庆译，载《狄德罗哲学选集》，1956年三联书店出版。在对话中狄德罗坚持一切物质都能够运动、而且有感受性的观点，认为感受性有两种：①迟钝的感受性，②活跃的感受性。前者可以转化为后者。属于人类意识范畴的感受性是由具有一定组织结构的物质通过温度与运动而产生的。这种感受性相当于认识过程中的感受能力。凡是感觉都因外部的刺激而起，没有自发生成的感觉。这些论点有力地驳斥了G.巴克莱的主观唯心主义。但是狄德罗不是单纯的感觉论者，他承认由感觉引起的观念可以招致其他观念，引起联想。他很重视理性思维的作用是他高于当时其他法国唯物主义者的地方。此外，他还探索了语言起源以及物体外围呈真空状态所起的变化等。
