田州古塔
巍峨挺拔、古朴典雅的田州古塔耸立在宁夏平罗县姚伏镇东1公里处的柳荫丛中,俗称姚伏塔.塔呈平面六角形,八层楼阁式砖塔,高38米,塔顶呈六边覆斗状,塔底直径7.5米。
田州塔因所处的姚伏古称田州而得名。《嘉靖宁夏新志》中记载：“定远镇…宋为威远军，伪夏改为定州，俗称田州”。《平罗记略》载：“唐朔方城，宋威远军，夏改定州，俗称田州”。由此证明田州古塔是西夏所建。在数百年漫长岁月里，田州古塔经历了大小百余次地震。仅清乾隆三年（1783年）十一月二十四日平罗地区发生强烈地震，田州古塔也难以幸免。进塔门楣石匾上刻有“田州古塔”4个大字。有“乾隆四十八年（1783年）六月维秀和尚募款重修”的字样，说明古塔是震毁后又于1783年重修的。
