This paper makes a study on the influence of deities and ghosts, differences betweenthem, and the combination of deities and ghosts in the traditional culture in Chinese through a de-tailed analysis of the origin of the culture of deities and ghosts as well as some Chinese charac-ters.

The ghost culture includes the ghost custom,ghost concept and ghost witchery.

In the human history,both Chinese and English ghost cultures have much in common,which shows the same problems caused when people faced with the world and themselves,from the aspects of the definitions,the expressions,the contents and the contributions to ideological infrastructures.
