各国家庭生育计划
各国家庭生育计划在一个家庭内部，由夫妻双方自由、有计划和负责任地按其意愿，决定生育子女的数量和生育间隔，确定家庭的规模。其本意是由各个家庭自我控制生育行为。家庭生育计划作为现代生育管理模式，是从18世纪后半期开始的，这主要以采用现代科学方法和工业生产节育药具为标志。从18世纪开始，人口增长的压力和工业革命造成的劳动力失业的压力，使欧洲人口问题暴露出来，成为社会各阶层关心的重大社会问题。提倡节育得到社会的响应。同时，科技进步也为家庭避孕节育提供了现实的物质技术条件。20世纪初，家庭生育计划传播到世界各主要国家。据统计，80年代初，在In个发展中国家和地区中，政府出于人口统计方面的原因而支持家庭生育计划的，有41个，占36.9%;出于卫生保健和人权方面的原因而支持家庭生育计划的有43个，占38.7%;不支持的有27个，占24.3%。到90年代初，在151个发展中国家和地区中，有128个国家和地区直接支待本国节育活动;有17个国家和地区间接支持本国节育活动;只有6个国家和地区反对本国节育活动。发展中国家提倡家庭生育计划、控制人口增长，主要原因是人口增长过快严重阻碍经济发展，恶化生态环境.并带来一系列社会问题。
