美制m82a112.7毫米大口径狙击步枪
m82a1是当今使用最广泛的大口径狙击步枪之一，几乎占领了0.50狙击步枪市场的统治地位。目前至少已装备30多个国家的军队或警察部队。m82a1也被广泛用作民间射击比赛。
m82a1半自动狙击步枪采用枪管短后坐原理，半自动发射方式。枪管短后座原理是著名枪械设计师勃朗宁开发的，而巴雷特将这种原理改进使之适合作为肩射武器的自动原理。
m82a1狙击步枪自带机械瞄具，也可以安装光学瞄具。原枪配用10倍瞄准镜，而海军陆战队所用的则是与m40a1相同的10倍unertl瞄准镜。m82a1可迅速分解成上机匣、下机匣及枪机框3部分。
m82a1狙击步枪的后坐力很小，这就保证了射击时的舒适性及射击精度。m82a1的可调两脚架与m60机枪通用，握把则与m16a2步枪通用。在m82a1弹匣前方还可以安装巴雷特公司研制的伸缩架座。
