性质:用某种物质涂覆于纤维表面,以改善其特性的复合纤维。例如塑料光导纤维是在聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯芯纤维的表层涂上氟树脂,使纤维的光损耗、耐磨、挠曲、难熔等性能得到改善。而所谓“银丝”是以涤纶薄膜为原料,采用真空蒸镀技术,将铝蒸镀在薄膜上。如生产“金丝”则在薄膜表面再涂上黄色颜料的树脂。
