形态特征:桑寄生科槲寄生属亚灌木植物，高30-50厘米。直立或披散，枝交互对生成二歧分枝，位于基部或中部以下的节间近圆柱状，小枝的节间稍扁平，长1.5-2.5(-3)厘米，宽2-2.5毫米，成长植株叶退化呈鳞片状，4-6月开花，聚伞花序，1-3个腋生，无总花梗;总苞舟形，长1-1.5毫米，具3-1朵花，3朵花时中央1朵为雌花，两侧的为雄花，通常仅具1朵的为雌花或雄花，花很小。果椭圆形或卵形，长4-5毫米，黄色或橙色。
生境分布:寄生于海拔200-2400米的平原或山地的樟树或壳斗科等植物树上。分布于我国西南、西北、华中、华南和华东的大部分省区。
