      简称承台,是组成桩基础的结构构件,在桩顶将桩群连接成整体,支承作用在桩基上的荷载并传递给桩和地基。桩承台的平面形状取决于桩的布置情况,通常做成矩形或条形。码头、桥梁等构筑物的桩基,桩顶往往高出地面或河底。这种桩称为高桩,其承台称为高桩承台。工业和其他民用建筑物的桩基,桩顶则往往低于地面,这种桩称为低桩,其承台称为低桩承台。
