《永定河志》

Not until in 1698 had a special organization been set up to harness the river,and the event also promoted the subsequent compiling of two records of the river,the Records of the Yong-ding River and the Continuous Records of the Yong-ding River,which is a good example of the interaction between social changes and historiography.
清政府的治河所为 ,促进了相应的志书编纂 ,先后出现了《永定河志》和《永定河续志》二部志书。

中国清代地理学家。字沧浪,浙江仁和(今杭州市)人,生卒年不详。性好远游,遍历闽中山水。康熙三十六年(1697)二月至十月为采集硫磺矿,从福建去台湾。他不避艰险,进行了比较深入的考察,以日记形式写成《采硫日记》(又称《裨海纪游》)。此书记述了台湾的自然地理和经济地理、地质(火山、地震和矿产)以及台湾海峡的水文、气象等情况,是研究台湾历史地理的重要文献。还著有《海上纪略》等。《海上纪略》(含"宇内形势"篇)论述了欧洲、东南亚、日本等国家和地区的政治和地理情况,以及中国在世界上的地理位置、与亚洲各国的航线。
