性质:又称孢囊。很多原生动物,诸如绿眼虫(Eu-glena viridis)和某些变形虫(如Entamoeba histolytica)等,遇到不良环境(如水池干涸等),虫体变圆,分泌出一种胶质并形成一个囊壳,将虫体原生质包围起来,因代谢明显降低,在不吸收养料期间仍可生活很久至数年,也可随风、物散布于各处。包囊实际上是低等生物对抗不良环境的一种适应性。当环境合适生活时,虫体(或原生质体)就会破囊而出成为生活态虫体,多数在出囊前可进行一次或数次分裂繁殖,使出囊虫体并非一个,而是多个。
