| 地理底图 geographical basic map 用于编绘专题地图的基础底图。专题内容在地图上定向定位的地理骨架和控制的统一地理基础，在一定程度上决定着专题地图的精度和详细程度。地理底图一般是经过简化的地形图或普通地图。按用途可分为编图底图和规划设计底图等。一般表示有：大地控制点、经纬网、水系、地貌和居民点 、交通线 、政区界线等要素，作为转绘专题内容的基础。为使专题内容与地理底图有机地结合，地理底图的内容要根据不同专题地图的特殊要求进行取舍和增强。如编绘地质图时，地理底图上的地名应当选取重要的地质点的所在地；编绘气候图时，要选取气象台站的所在地名。 |
