The northern Leizhou Peninsular, considered as a climatic transition between the south limit of the sub-tropic and the north limit of the tropic, is sensitive to climate changes because it is influenced by both SE and SW monsoons.
在14C测年的基础上,分析了雷州半岛北部湛江市屋山泥炭剖面和遂西县下录泥炭剖面的沉积特征及其腐殖化度、有机质含量变化,发现两个剖面在相同时段内的沉积特征和气候环境特征都比较吻合,充分证明了研究区区域的气候环境变化是控制两个地点泥炭发育的主要因素。

After thinking of the relationship between the coast landscape evolution and both the tectonic movement and global sea level change,the author calculated the uplift rate along the north east coast of Shandong Peninsula on the basis of the correlation of the eustatic sea level and relative sea level responded by the local landscape,coast line and corresponding sediments.
在综合考虑新构造运动和全球海面变化与海岸带地区地貌发育的关系后，根据现代地貌面、海岸线和相关沉积等所反映的海面变化与全球海面变化的对比，推算了山东半岛东北部沿海地区的新构造抬升速率。

1965年9月，中国人民解放军海军航空兵在广东省雷州半岛对入侵中国领空的美军飞机进行的战斗。
9月20日10时47分，美国f—104c型战斗机1架飞临海南岛西岸，中国海军南海舰队航空兵指挥所命令第10团大队长高翔、副大队长黄凤生驾驶歼6飞机起飞警戒。美机在中国领海领空忽进忽出。指挥所机智地把高翔双机引导到加来地区，迷惑美机。11时9分，美机果然改变航向，横穿雷州半岛。指挥所即令高翔拦截。高翔、黄凤生按照地面引导迅速折回，在距离目标30公里时，以时速1300公里逼近目标。高翔从距美机291米处开炮，一直打到距离39米，美机顿时凌空爆炸，向下坠落。由于距离太近，高翔的飞机被美机爆炸后的碎片击伤多处，1台发动机停车。高依靠另一台发动机，驾机安全返回机场。美机飞行员菲利普·史密斯上尉跳伞后被海南岛民兵俘虏。
